DIRECT RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF SECONDARY GRADE TEACHERS – 2024
PUBLICATION OF EXAMINATION RESULTS OF TAMIL LANGUAGE AND FINAL KEY
As per Notification No. 01/2024 dated 09.02.2024, Teachers Recruitment Board conducted the Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based Examination for Direct Recruitment for the post of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) on 21.07.2024. A total 26510 number of candidates applied for the written Examination and 25319 candidates appeared for the Written Examination.
Binding to the orders of Hon’ble High Court of Madras in WMP No.16353 of 2024.. and batch cases dated: 18.03.2025, the Board has released the Objection Tracker along with the tentative answers key only for the “A” series Question paper with Tamil Language on 28.03.2025 in TRB official website and candidates were advised to submit their representations if any on tentative answers key through Objection Tracker along with relevant authoritative proof from 28.03.2025 to 03.04.2025 within 5.00 p.m
Objections submitted by the candidates only through online mode were taken for scrutiny by Experts. Among those, the candidates who submitted the objections along with proof from the standard Text Books alone were considered. Guides, Correspondence course materials and non-standard reference books were not entertained by TRB. The representation in any other form including e-mail, courier, India-post or application in person and the Representations without evidences were also not entertained. All such objections were summarily rejected.
Totally 8680 online objections against 66 questions were received for Question paper with Tamil Language. All the representations received within the stipulated time have been thoroughly examined from 07.04.2025 to 08.04.2025 by Subject Experts deputed from various Government Educational Institutions.
After thorough scrutiny, revised and final key answers have been arrived by the Experts and based on that, the OMR answer sheets of the candidates (who have attempted the Question paper with Tamil language) have been evaluated through computerized electronic process. Regarding the Final answers key the Subject Experts opinion is Final. No further representation will be entertained by TRB.
During the computerized scanning of OMR answer sheets of the candidates, it was found that quite a number of candidates committed mistakes in marking / shading the Questions Booklet series, which is essential for valuation of the OMR answer sheets.
Candidates who have written the Question Booklet series code but not shaded or multiple shaded, the correctly written series code alone has been considered for evaluation

Candidate who had committed mistake in both writing and shading the Roll number in the OMR answer sheet was not considered for valuation.
Candidate who had not shaded the OMR answer sheet, the answer sheets could not be valuated and hence rejected.
As per notification para 8 Scheme of Examination, candidates who have scored minimum 40% marks [ i.e., 20 marks out of 50 marks] and above in Part - A examination are only eligible for the next level of valuation of the main examination answer sheet i.e., Part-B. As per G.O.(Ms.) No. 49, Human Resources (M) Department, dated 23.05.2022 PWD candidates are exempted in appearing the Part-A.
The marks obtained by all the candidates who have appeared for the written examination and attempted the Question paper with Tamil language in Part - B are hereby released. For all Part-A qualified candidates and for all the PWD candidates, Part-B score are released herewith.
The Final answer key only for the “A” series Question paper with Tamil Language containing 1 to 180 questions hereby released.
As per the notification para 9 (C) and subject to outcome of Hon’ble High Court of Madras in WMP No.16353 of 2024.. and batch cases dated: 18.03.2025 the short-listed candidates based on the writtenTamil Language competitive examination marks and Weightage marks taken together and as per rule of reservation for appointment to the post drawn in the ratio of 1:1.25 will be called for certificate verification. The C.V. date will be intimated later along with C.V. list.
